Homework Center
I encourage all students to come to the Homework Center every day after their school day ends to complete homework assignments. This way, students can work together and will not have to take any materials home. Homework should only take 30-45 minutes on average (per night) to complete. An added bonus is that I am available to offer assistance and to answer any questions that there might not have been time for during class. For certain students, coming after school should not be an option, but a requirement. After I have identified those students who need this additional support, I will contact parents and hope that they will assist in encouraging their child to attend. Hopefully the Homework Center will become part of students' daily routine, much like a club meeting or an athletic team's practice. Remember - academics are Priority #1 at Kenwood Academy.
